Global Health Policy

The iHEAT Center for Global Health Policies is a research center dedicated to studying global health, epidemics, and the policies that govern them. Based in Hanoi, Vietnam, the center draws on the expertise of a team of international experts in global public health, health economics and systems, policy, and management to develop evidence-based policies that improve health outcomes worldwide. 

The center’s research focuses on a wide range of topics related to global health, including the epidemiology of infectious diseases, the health impacts of climate change, and the economic and social factors that contribute to health disparities. Through its interdisciplinary approach, the center seeks to identify innovative solutions to complex global health challenges and to support the development of policies that promote health equity and social justice. 

The iHEAT Center for Global Health Policies offers a range of studies, including: 

1. Policy analysis and evaluation: The center conducts research to analyze and evaluate health policies and interventions at the global level. This includes assessing the impact of policies on health outcomes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending evidence-based policy solutions. 
2. Epidemic and outbreak response: The center provides research support for global efforts to prevent and control epidemics and outbreaks. This includes developing models to predict the spread of diseases, identifying risk factors and interventions, and evaluating the effectiveness of control measures. 
3. Health systems strengthening: The center conducts research on ways to strengthen health systems in low- and middle-income countries. This includes identifying gaps in health services and infrastructure, analyzing health financing mechanisms, and recommending policies to improve health system performance. 
4. Health diplomacy and governance: The center conducts research on how global health diplomacy and governance can support efforts to improve health outcomes. This includes analyzing the role of international organizations, identifying areas for collaboration, and recommending ways to strengthen global health governance. 
5. Health inequalities and social determinants of health: The center conducts research on the social determinants of health and how they contribute to health inequalities. This includes analyzing the impact of social and economic policies on health outcomes, identifying strategies to reduce health disparities, and advocating for policies that address the root causes of health inequalities. 

By conducting rigorous research and working closely with policymakers, the iHEAT Center for Global Health Policies aims to make a positive impact on global health and to promote the development of evidence-based policies that improve health outcomes for all individuals and communities.
